Whip up a storm this autumn at the Remix All Nighter @ Matter on September 18th…
The Remix All-Nighter returns to the heart of the matter, celebrating the clubs first birthday in true Remix style with a dome-shattering lineup of mind numbing beats, cool as f**k electro and more dancefloor joy than you could ever fit into a smile!
What an incredible line-up we have for Matter’s first birthday shenanigans, with a headline set from DJ superstars Pendulum, who in the last couple of years have become one of the major global forces in dance music. Manchester 4 piece The Whip are also set to storm the main stage having wowed festival audiences across the world all summer. With a brand new album penned for release early next year this explosive indie-dance outfit are one of the most exiting live acts to come out of the UK in recent years. Joining them in Room 1 are Brazilian supergroup Mixhell - featuring none other than Sepultura’s drummer Iggor Cavalera (a man who has sold in excess of 10 million records!) - with an exclusive live London date as well as Kitsuné signed starlets the Crystal Fighters.
In addition there is an extra special live show from Losers featuring The Remix’s very own Eddy TM and ex Cooper-Temple Clause multi-instrumentalist Tom Bellamy. The boys have been locked in the studio putting the finishing touches to their awesome debut album ‘Beautiful Losers’, already tipped as ‘banging and really accomplished’ by Liam Howlett. Keep your eyes peeled for their debut single 'Flush' feat Riz MC & Envy which is released on Distiller Records in October. Throw DJ sets from, Hervé, Zombie Nation, Eddy Temple-Morris, Streetlife DJs, High Rankin, Ali B, Stereo: Type, Rawkus Noise and Firaz in the mix and you have one birthday mash-up that will keep the floors vibrating till dawn – unmissable.
The Remix is XFM’s only nationally broadcast specialist music show hosted by Eddy Temple-Morris. Eddy is widely regarded as the undisputed champion not just of genre-hopping but of genre-breeding, slipping enough pills into dance music’s pint until it finds itself curled up in the corner of the room, with rock’s dangly bits hanging in its mouth. This extra special Remix All Nighter will be broadcast live as a 4hour special on XFM featuring live performances, DJ sets, interviews and exclusives. Pow!
September will be a watershed month for Matter - not only marking the first anniversary of the venue’s opening, but also the unveiling of a brand new VIP balcony and smoking garden area. Plus it marks the long, LONG, awaited close of TfL's Jubilee line improvement works: Having endured the difficulties of an oft-unavailable tube line to North Greenwich at the weekends for its opening 12 months, Matter will now always be just 13 minutes from central London - with the Jubilee now quicker and with more trains than ever before. The Saturday service starts just after 5am, so getting home from The Remix will be a cinch!
