The Hundred in the Hands : 'Dressed In Dresden'
.jpg)
The Hundred in the Hands are a rare joy that doesn’t come along too often: a boy/girl pairing made up from Jason Friedman, previously of The Boggs, and Eleanore Everdell.
‘Dressed in Dresden’ catapults into your ear drums with its sliding synths and trippy guitar glides. Eleanore’s slinky vocals slither over the claps and glocks as she writhes to being “in and out and out and in”.
Jammed full of polyrhythm and staccato guitars, this post punk/dub/disco duo are something to be adored. It’s cute, kitsch, kicking. Nothing more so, than counter-part ‘Undressed in Dresden’. Remixed by Jacques Renault this is what music would sound like if it was pimped by MTV.
THITH’s ‘Dressed in Dresden’ is, for once, best described by its press release: “a cracked disco shell in post punk wrapping paper.” Delightful.
