THE SOFT PACK RETURN TO THE UK IN FEBRUARY 2010 “Effortlessly dishing out firecrackers...The Soft Pack are still delivering with their resolute coolness intact” – Artrocker “Rougher and readier than a sexy badger” – NME, 10 Tracks to Hear This Week In the run up to the release of their much anticipated debut album early next year, San Diego quartet The Soft Pack return to the UK next February for a headline tour of their own. The band’s previous UK tours have all been blistering, tinglingly-awaited, sold-out occasions, and this one should be no different, as they will be airing new material from their upcoming debut album, released on Heavenly/ Co-op on February 1. The taut, punky garage rock they first showcased on the “Nightlife” single and the “Extinction” EP (both long since sold out) has now been refined to a razor sharp edge, with the result being that The Soft Pack’s album is a slice of gloriously careening and heart quickening rock and roll, one which sounds just as vital, urgent and potent on a messy night out as it is played in your bedroom at maximum volume.
